I really don't understand the purpose of these remakes.
It just highlights how shit most of the things the bbc are doing now are compared to classics like Steptoe and Porridge.
Either show the old shows or make something new and FUNNY.

It's impossible to recapture in twenty five minutes and different actors what took years to perfect, sitcoms often used to go on for literally decades. I'd love to see the episode where Alf sneaks in the north bank (iirc) again.
